WEEK 3: Meditation as a Tool to Get Over Your Sh*T
How to use Meditation as a Tool
Mindfulness is helpful in ALL things.
~ The Buddha
Meditation for Happiness
In every moment there are an infinite number of things to be happy about and an infinite number of things to be unhappy about. By consciously choosing where you put your awareness, you will begin to maintain a happier baseline of being and operate from genuine balance, even while you continue to work for the benefit of all beings.
Meditation for Challenging Emotions
Your heart is a masterpiece of creation. It is your doorway to divine guidance. While your mind speaks to you with words and images, your heart speaks to you in the language of emotions. Whether you are aware of them or not, emotions are a constant presence in your life underlying everything and influencing everything you do. When you do not allow yourself to feel your emotions, you block, avoid or cling onto them. When this happens, life can't flow through you - and you feel stuck, confused and exhausted. When you are able to be with all of your emotions, you discover a deep inner peace that allows you to be present and open to all of life.
Meditation for Forgiveness
Forgiveness doesn’t mean saying that what happened was OK. Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting. Forgiveness is the courageous act of releasing the rage and resentment that you are holding in your system as a result of the trauma so that you can grow something else in that space of your heart. Hanging onto these emotions is harming your body, mind, and spirit –holding you back from moving forward and making a meaningful life. Feel the feelings, allow them, they are your dear friends outraged on your behalf – let them speak their piece in healthy ways. Then, let them go. When you forgive yourself and life, you can reconnect to your deepest spiritual knowing once again.
Meditation for Physical Healing
You have the power to heal yourself, and you need to know that. We think so often that we are helpless,
but we are not. We always have the power of our minds. Claim and consciously use your power. ~ Louise Hay
Meditation for Opening Your Heart
May you be happy. May you be peaceful. May you be safe. May you have ease and joy.
Practice this simple mantra throughout the day to build your unconditional love muscle.
