Meditating Well With Others
It truly is a miracle that anyone exists. Each person is a unique expression of sacred life. When you meet them with curiosity, care and equality, they open like flowers and show you their beauty - beauty they may not even have known was there. Let them show you their secrets -- in the open space of your heart. When we really meet each other, a whole world of possibility opens. It is impossible to truly see someone and not to love them.
In this way, you begin to feel connected to all beings.
How to Meditate while Relating
Soften, come from innocence and curiosity. Imagine you are meeting people for the first time. Come from your authentic Wild self, rather than mind, emotions or physicality. Drop control and expectations, and let the interaction direct itself. Treat everyone as if they matter. Listen with your whole being, as if the words could change your life. Treat strangers with the quality of kindness and attention you would offer to someone dear to you.
Meditating while in Conflict
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about. Ideas, language, even the phrase "each other" doesn't make any sense.

What's Possible
HOME-PLAY!
1. Play with meditating in every interaction you have throughout the week.
2. Listen to one guided meditation (below) per day.
3. Repeat the weekly mantra as many times as possible throughout the day.
4. Journal Inquiries
- Notice the changes in your energy when you start to go from alone to interacting. Breathe. Relax. Keep Meditating.
- Don't drop the awareness and curiosity because other people are such shiny objects! Notice where you go unconscious (certain people? topics? types of interactions?)
- Observe your mind for agendas, assumptions, anticipations, and creating from memory rather than the present moment.
- With your inner circle: imagine you were meeting this person for the first time.
- With strangers and acquaintances: imagine you are old, dear friends or even family.
- Share your insights in the private facebook group!
2. Listen to one guided meditation (below) per day.
- Afterwards, incorporate it into your life -- remember to meditate whenever you are doing that activity.
3. Repeat the weekly mantra as many times as possible throughout the day.
- Smile and really allow the truth of it into your heart.
- Observe and record in your journal any insights that arise from living these perspectives.
4. Journal Inquiries
- How often am I truly present for the people in my life?
- How often am I placing assumptions between myself and others? What is the cost? What do you notice when you meet them fresh, without expectation?
- How often do I come from my wild, authentic self in interactions, and how often am I running automatically or unconsciously?
- How connected do I feel in life? To my inner circle? To humanity at large? How do these practices impact that?
- How well do I listen, really? What happens when I let the words all the way into my soul?
- How often do I speak consciously? unconsciously?
